Hi, I'm Marie...
I'm the owner of Be Well And Flourish and I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to create a second chance at having a career that I truly love and feel fulfilled by. I had a corporate background and whilst I was successful, I was unfulfilled by what I did and over time that caused my mental health to suffer.

I realised that if I wanted to create change in my life, I was the only one responsible for doing that. I needed to adopt a different mindset. It was in going through my own journey of change that it occurred to me - how great would it be to help other people do the same.

I now get to do something where I support people to achieve their own goals as well as being able to keep my own mental health cup fully topped up doing all the things I love. I haven't stopped in my own growth journey, my goals are just different now. Read on to see if my story resonates!
My Story
I used to work in the corporate world in Procurement. While I progressed in my career quite quickly, getting that next promotion or pay increase never seemed to bring any more satisfaction. So, I became a contractor instead. Maybe the opportunity to change contracts regularly and not be involved in the politics the same as an employee would change things? It didn't. I realised I wasn't truly my own boss as I still had to work the hours the client wanted (and more).
I came to the conclusion that I was unfulfilled by what I did and I could either choose to stay stuck or the only person responsible for changing the situation was me!

Where to Start With Making Change?
I tried a couple of other roles. Some in the corporate world that had transferrable skills from Procurement, some that were completely different.
For one reason or another, those options didn't work. I either realised that those career paths weren't going to offer anymore fulfilment than Procurement, or, they didn't offer the financial gain I was used to. The result? I would end up back in Procurement, as it did offer one thing...the ability to pay my bills.
But having financial compensation, a nice car and the odd expensive holiday was no longer enough to keep me stuck, my mental health was suffering and I knew I wanted real change.
How Did Change Come About?
I started on a real journey of personal development. I adopted a growth mindset and set to work. I read lots of books, I worked with a coach and did some new courses.
In the midst of all of this, I also discovered at 33 I have Autism. This was when the real change came about. It allowed me to truly learn about myself and take off the mask that a lot of Neurodivergent people wear. I got to know my true essence.
At the same time, I also decided to complete a short Healing course. It was then it really sank in what I wanted my new career path to be. To help people for a living'.
So that's what I did. I retrained as a Coach, specialising in Mental Fitness and Wellbeing. I help people to get their subconscious mind to work with them, not against them. Helping to remove the barriers and limiting beliefs we build up about ourselves and our circumstances.

How Does Life look Now?
Vastly different. I get to embrace every part of my life now.
I have a career that is so much more fulfilling than what I did before. I love helping people and that means I now ENJOY what I do. People who know me see how passionate I am about what I do now. They see a vibrant person who has purpose and motivation.
I still work on growing and developing everyday. But when you enjoy something, it doesn't really feel like work. I have the balance in my life I always desired. I get to do all the things I enjoy - spending time with my pets, volunteering for my local RSPB and RSPCA branches, spending time in nature and travelling.
What are your goals? Let's work together to make them a reality.
